world consumer rights day 2022 theme

Every year 15th March is celebrated as the World Consumer Rights Day.

World Consumer Rights Day was inspired by President John F Kennedy, who sent a special message to the US Congress on 15th March 1962

President John F Kennedy  formally addressed the issue of consumer rights. He was the first world leader to do so.

The theme for World Consumer Rights Day 2022 is 'Fair Digital Finance'.

As digital payments are increasingly becoming a part of society, the risks associated with them are multiplying as well.

Four basic consumer rights—the right to be informed, the right to choose, the right to safety, and the right to be heard

These rights received a lot of attention from the consumer movement, a movement to pass laws protecting consumers from unfair and unsafe business practices.
